Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with Crime in public procurement and the possibilities of its prevention. The aim of the thesis is to characterize public procurements and their legal regulation; further, crimes in this field are presented, ways of their execution as well as examples of particular crimes. The thesis also deals with the impacts of emergency state within coronavirus pandemic on public procurements. Other aim is to analyze statistical data published by the Police of the Czech Republic dealing with some sections of penal code. In theoretical part of the thesis, there are terms referring to public procurements explained, further, there is characterization of public procurements presented, their legal regulation as well as criminal activities being committed in this field. In practical part of the thesis, there are statistical data analyzed connected with some sections of penal code. There are also cases of legislative practice presented. In conclusion, there are possible measures of prevention against crimes in the field of public procurements presented.
