Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with particle detection in human ejaculate and their possible relation to infertility. Samples provided by the CGB Laboratories of Clinical Genetics in Ostrava - Vítkovice were analyzed using a scanning electron microscope and Raman microscopy. Particles based on metal, specifically particles of iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, chromium, titanium and nickel were detected in the samples. Titanium compounds and calcium carbonate were also found. Many of these substances have been shown to have negative effects on the living organism. The information found indicates that there is some dependence between the presence of metal particles in the male ejaculate and the infertility disorder.
