Abstract
This thesis deals with analysis of gaseous products created by burning of selected wood materials under various conditions. For this analysis I used the NICOLET iS10 infrared spectrometer with Fourier transform.
In theoretical part of this thesis I discuss wood burning and creation and toxicity of burning products. The information about infrared spectrometry and description of the FTIR method are included in this part too.
In practical part of the thesis I made measurements in the laboratory with intention to analyze the composition of gaseous products of wood materials at different temperatures and evaluate their hazard.
Products of wood heat degradation were created in a combustion chamber in
accordance with the standard DIN 53436.
