Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of trade relations between the European Union and the United States of America. The aim of the diploma thesis is based on the analysis of the historical development of Euro-Atlantic relations and current trade relations between the European Union and the United States of America to characterize key aspects of mutual trade and evaluate the possibilities of their future development. The first part focuses on key aspects of foreign trade theory, including trade policy and the WTO. The second part deals with the development and legal basis of EU-US cooperation. The third part pays attention to the analysis of current trade relations between the EU and the US and possible future developments.
