Zhodnocení faktorů způsobujících státní bankrot

Abstract

The aim of the thesis was to evaluate some of the factors, which are often thought about as cause of the sovereign default and an effort to find out, if there are others factors related to default. Methods of analysis, comparison and deduction are used, to do so. There are analyzed countries with recent history of default as well as countries probably endangered by default today in the thesis. On top of that, part of thesis is dedicated to Czech Republic in order to find out, if it is close to default. Using chosen methods, it was found out, that some of the factors, which are evaluated by rating agencies and international organizations, does not have to have influence to default likelihood. On the contrary, that probability is influenced by some other factors, which are not discussed so often.
