Abstract

Structural policy is the most important coordinated policy of the European Union and is aimed at reducing the large economic, social and territorial disparities within regions. Czech Republic´s accession into the European Union ensured among the others, the possibility to draw financial resources through the range of structural policy´s instruments. These financial resources became an important source to boost development in backward regions. Also, towns Hranice and Lipník nad Bečvou draw the money from European Union. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the use of EU Structural Funds within the period 2007 - 2011 by selected criteria.
