Problematika Srbska na cestě do Evropské unie

Abstract

Cílem této diplomové práce je analýza aktuálních problémů Srbska a jejich dopad na vstup země do euroatlantických struktur, především do Evropské unie. Budou sledovány integrační tendence Srbska, unijní politika vůči západobalkánskému regionu a vztahy Srbska s NATO a EU. Pozornost bude věnována protiintegračním faktorům objektivního i subjektivního charakteru, zvláště problematice Kosova a spolupráci Srbska s Mezinárodním trestním tribunálem pro bývalou Jugoslávii.

Diplomová práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola nastíní charakteristiku Srbska a jeho hospodářský a politický vývoj od pádu Miloševićova režimu v roce 2000. Druhá kapitola analyzuje integrační tendence Srbska a vzájemné vztahy se Severoatlantickou aliancí a Evropskou unií. Předmětem pozornosti je Středoevropská dohoda o volném obchodu, integrace Srbska do evropské bezpečnostní architektury, přístup Evropské unie k zemím západního Balkánu a její vztahy se Srbskem. Třetí kapitola se zabývá aktuálními problémy Srbska a jejich dopadem na vstup země do EU. Kapitola se zaměřuje na srbské hospodářství, problematiku menšin, zejména na otázku Kosova, spolupráci Srbska s Mezinárodním trestním tribunálem pro bývalou Jugoslávii a politicko-společenské klima v zemi.

The goal of this thesis is an analysis of the current problems in Serbia and their impact on its entry into Euro-Atlantic structures, particularly into the European Union. The thesis will examine Serbian integration trends as well as the EU policy towards the Western Balkan region, and Serbian relationships with NATO and the EU. Attention will be given to anti-integration factors of both objective and subjective character, especially to the issue of Kosovo and co-operation of Serbia with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

The thesis is organized into three chapters. The first chapter outlines the characteristics of Serbia and its economic and political development since the fall of Milosević regime in 2000. The second chapter analyzes the integration trends of Serbia and its mutual relationship with the North Atlantic Treaty Pact and the European Union. Focus is given to the Central European Free Trade Agreement, integration of Serbia into the European Security Architecture, and approach of the European Union towards the Western Balkan countries and its relations with Serbia. The third chapter deals with current problems of Serbia and their impact on its admission into the EU. This chapter is focused on Serbian economy, the issue of minorities, the question of Kosovo in particular, Serbian co-operation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, and political and social climate in the country.
