Abstract
The diploma thesis is focused on the design of the technology of casting the blade of the Kaplan turbine from stainless steel GX4CrNi13-4. The technology was designed through numerical simulation using software MAGMAsoft. The influence of used casting sands on the solidification of casting was evaluated by numerical simulation. Also, the possibility of influencing the rectification of solidification by means of coolers was examined. When designing the gating system, variants enabling the combination of low speed in notches and a suitable deployment of temperature field were verified. According to the proposed technology, blade casting was successfully produced.
