Abstract

The Bachelor thesis focuses on two volleyball clubs from Ostrava, namely VK DHL Ostrava and TJ Mittal Ostrava. The aim of this thesis is a marketing and management analysis of these clubs, pointing out the work of managers and finding out, through obtained information, whether the management of clubs is using all the possibilities that are available to them. Last but not least the thesis examines opinions of spectators. The aim of the thesis was achieved by inquiry method with the usage of interview and questionnaire technique, SWOT analysis and marketing mix tools analysis. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with explanation of basic concepts of marketing and management applied to sport, as well as methods and techniques of the research. The practical part deals with its own research process of both volleyball clubs. At the end of the thesis, there is a summary of findings and recommendations, which clubs can use further for their development and improvement of their current situation.
