Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on the development of a vehicle computer, capable of communication with Honda Civic electronic control unit. The thesis is divided into five parts. The first part covers the state-of-the-art of similar vehicle computers available on the market. At the end of this part a comparison of the proposed vehicle computer and market available models is provided. The second part contains the description of the vehicle control unit communication protocols. The third part is aimed at the vehicle diagnostics. The fourth part describes the development and manufacturing of the vehicle computer. The last part covers the tests of the computer in the real traffic.
