Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit změny bodů vzplanutí směsí methanolu a vody na jejich bezpečné používání. V úvodu neboli v teoretické části této práce je stručně popsána problematika týkající se vlastnosti kapalin. Následně navazuje část, která popisuje požárně technické charakteristiky a technicko bezpečnostní parametry hořlavých látek, pomocí kterých lze vytvářet analýzu rizik z hlediska nebezpečí požáru a výbuchu. Další část se zabývá toxicitou a bodem vzplanutí hořlavých kapalin. V diplomové práci je také zmíněn minimální a maximální bod vzplanutí u dvousložkových směsí včetně plynů a par, které mohou vytvářet nebezpečnou koncentraci. V návaznosti na vytváření nebezpečné atmosféry vlivem hořlavých kapalin je také zmínka o protipožární a protivýbuchové prevenci. V praktické části jsou popsány normované metody pro stanovení bodů vzplanutí jednotlivých koncentrací směsí methanolu. Výsledky z měření jsou porovnány a následně zhodnoceny z hlediska bezpečného používání.

The aim of the thesis is to determine changes in the flash points of methanol and water mixtures for their safe use. In the theoretical part of this work the issues related to the properties of fluids are briefly described. The following part depicts the technical characteristics of fire and technical safety characteristics of flammable materials that can be used to create risk analysis in terms of fire and explosion. The next section deals with the flammable liquids, including their toxicity and the flash point. In the thesis minimum and maximum flashpoints in binary mixtures including gases and vapours that can create dangerous levels are also listed. Following the creation of hazardous atmospheres due to flammable liquids the fire and explosion prevention is mentioned. The practical part describes standard methods for determining the flash points of each methanol concentration. The results of measurements are compared and then evaluated in terms of safe usage.
