Abstract

The theme of the thesis is the design and implementation of autonomous measuring unit for measuring the temperature and concentration of explosive gases. The theoretical analysis is discussed the issue of measuring the concentration of explosive gases, including the definition of explosion limits of selected gases. In the final part of the theoretical analysis are discussed methods of temperature measurement sensors that can measure temperature and gas concentration. Subsequently, the suggested solution for creating an autonomous unit, which will measure the temperature and the concentration of methane. Apart from measuring the concentration of methane in the atmosphere, the unit will also measure the amount of carbon monoxide. In the next part of the thesis is detailed proposal measurement units. These are discussed in detail the components used, including the way they communicate with other peripherals. Part of the description of the individual components is a brief description of selected parts of the software that provides communication between components. The following is a description of the resulting structure and method of calibration of individual sensors. In conclusion the verification of the functionality of the measuring unit including a graphical representation of measured values.
