Konverze průmyslové architektury bývalé kotlárny v Praze-Karlíně na smíšenou funkci včetně bydlení - s řešením centra pro nový Karlín

Abstract

The subject of diploma thesis is a conversion of old industrial factory Kotlárna (part of ČKD complex) in Praha-Karlín and complete urbanistic solution of city block where fabric is situated. Other topic is contiuity with Vítkov hill and new trainstop of city train connection. Diploma thesis examines the relation ship betwen posindustrial architecture and living "tissue" of city and solve reconnection of fabric, like valuable link to history, with city live. The end of diploma thesis is definition of new meaning of postindustrial architecture and design of appropriate intervention to existing construction of building, mass of city block and to surrounding landscape.
