Abstract

The work is focused on the nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete structures using the finite element method. Numerical methods for analysis are implemented in Matlab. The application is used to assess the reinforcement of reinforced concrete walls according to standards. The thesis focuses on modelling and analysis of reinforced concrete structures in the program Atena VŠB-TU Ostrava. Analyses are performed on an available experiments, which are taken from journals and tests carried out in the Laboratory of building materials. Between selected structures are represented by typical bearing structures: beams, slab and wall. The aim of the analysis is to verify the possibility of their modelling, evaluation of the suitability of input parameters for concrete and making recommendations to the nonlinear analysis of concrete structures.
