Abstract

The master’s thesis deals with the issue of safety for performing the fire attack discipline within the framework of firesport. The aim of the master’s thesis is to evaluate the risks associated with this discipline and propose measures to minimize them – to create safety propositions for the correct performance of the discipline. The theoretical part consists of a description of the current state of knowledge of this issue, it also describes the history of firesport, the types of categories and then the rules of individual disciplines, The theoretical part further describes the legislative framework of occupational health and safety for fire protection units, the rules of firesport and technical parameters of the equipment used for this discipline and their certification. The practical part contains a detailed risk analysis using a Semi-quantitative risk assessment, which considers the probability of an event, the severity of its consequences and the opinion of the evaluator, The output of this master’s thesis is a set of safety propositions and a checklist intended for competitors, coaches and competition organizers.
