Vila Tugendhat

Abstract

Má práce si vzala za cíl přehledně zmapovat vývoj vily Tugendhat a historii s ní spojenou. Seznamuje jak s osobami investorů Grete a Fritze Tugendhat, tak potom i se slavným architektem Ludwigem Mies van der Rohe. Ve stručnosti charakterizuje architektonické styly, z kterých vila Tugendhat vychází anebo jimi byla inspirována. Snaží se také přiblížit historický kontext vzniku této památky, její výstavbu a v neposlední řadě také mapuje osudy, kterými tato perla moderní architektury prošla. V poslední části se potom věnuje dvěma rekonstrukcím, které se v osmdesátileté historii vily uskutečnily, a to především té první z let 1983 – 1987, která i přes svoji kontroverznost a jistý nesouhlas odborné veřejnosti vilu nejspíše zachránila od nejhoršího.

The aim of my work is to embrace the facts about the development of the villa Tugendhat and its history. It introduces us to the investors Grete and Fritze Tugendhat as well as to the famous architect Ludwig Miew van der Rohe. The work also describes particular architectonic styles which was the villa Tugendhat inspired by. It tries to get a closer look on a historical context of its foundation, development and it also studies a destiny that this `pearl of the modern architecture` went through. The final part looks into the two reconstructions which took place in eighty year of its history, particularly the first one from years 1983 and 1987. Despite the public’s disagreement this particular reconstruction most likely saved the villa from the worst.
