Abstract

Thesis describes technology desulphurization of coke-oven gas by ammonia method AMASULF. The work presents a comparison of two different technological methods of design for desulfurization and cooling of coke oven gas. Both these methods are examined and presented. The proposal of revamping final gas cooler and H2S scrubber is further described in terms of the project Optimization desulphurisation at coke-oven plant in Ostrava. The result of the thesis is evaluation of effectiveness of technological equipment – H2S scrubber, before and after implementation. It is also confirmed setup of ChemCAD software for design of H2S crubber.
