Abstract

In the thesis on the analysis of warehouse management firms Caterpillar Global Mining Czech Republic a.s. in the analysis and analysis of logistics functions and their effects on storage and inventory management in the company. The methodology of the described concepts such as logistics, its procedures and methods, as well as the introduction of the company, which was processed for analysis. Subsequently, in the practical part, by ABC analysis, based on the results of Pareto diagram was created. Based on the ABC analysis was calculated existing inventory management system and designed a new system which has a positive impact for the company in saving logistics costs. In conclusion, the proposed recommendations for the company. The objective was achieved.
