Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the financial analysis of the Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava a. s. Company. The aim of this dissertation is to evaluate the financial health of the corporation during the years 2009 – 2013 by means of ratio indicators, DuPont Analysis, solvency and bankruptcy models. The first part of the thesis is concerned with a brief introduction to the selected company, the following section summarises theoretical definitions of terminology and methods of financial analysis. The practical part presents the results of assessing the financial analysis, suggestions and recommendations how to improve the financial health of the particular company.
