Abstract
The main focus of this bachelor thesis was analysis and comparison of surface layer on Zn basis (labelled ELOPHOSPATE) and Zn-Mg-Al (labelled ZINCOMAG) with the use of profile analysis method called GDOES and with the help of optical microscope Olympus GX51 and review the appropriate use of GDOES method for profile analysis of Zn-Mg-Al coating. This type of coating, with the optimal metal ratio in the layer, shows better anticorrosive properities. The average depth of Zn layer determined by GDOES with surface analysis (surface of ELOPHOSPHATE) was 6,0 μm and Zn-Mg-Al layer (ZINCOMAG) 10,1 μm. With the use of comparative method was found that ELOPHOSPATE coating had average depth 5,2 μm and ZINCOMAG 10,6 μm. results of GDOES can be considered as comparable with the results shown in optical microscope. In literature GDOES method was already demonstrated as usable for Zn layer analysis. Its use for analysis of alloy layers was verified by this bachelors work.
