Abstract

This master´s diploma thesis deals with reduction of energy expenses of a building of civic amenities, to be specific, the fire station in a village Těrlicko, by insulation of the peripheral cladding, replacement of wall opening fillings and of the actual heat source with an alternative one, namely a heat pump. An energy balance of solar thermal colectors used for water heating is included. Subsequently, the issue of thermo-technical properties of building constructions is treated, with a special emphasis on an evaluation of critical details connected with requirements for the lowest inner surface temperature. An economic comparison and an investment recovery of the modernization of peripheral cladding, with replacement of the heating source and without replacement of the heat source, are involved. A significant part of the thesis is dedicated to the energy audit which evaluates, from the energetic and economic perspective, the actual condition of the building and compares possible solutions of the reduction in consumption of energies entering the building as well as their operational costs.
