Abstract
Thesis deals with the current situation in the field of localization systems. It describes not only the basic concepts of it but the technical and functional details of these systems. A significant part consists of experiments designed to investigate the NAVSTAR GPS system with emphasis on accuracy and localization possibilities. Based on the measured data, statistical analysis and our own findings, the work outlined new opportunities and solutions bringing nascent system Galileo.
