Viktor Mičan, Ph.D. This bachelor's thesis focuses on connecting participatory budgeting with the process of awarding small-scale public procurement and assessing how these mechanisms influence the implementation of smaller public projects in the field of construction and municipal infrastructure. The work contains a case study of the project of the Moravská Ostrava and Přívoz Municipal District entitled "Leisure Zone on Jílová Street", which was the winning proposal for the participatory budget in 2023, and the entire process of preparation and implementation of this investment event is described here.
