Abstract

This thesis is engaged in possibility of operating process during pacemaker implantation improvement in MNO. The point is to improve a method of transferring measured data during surgery to surgical protocol. Currently the measured data are manually re-writed, which is time consuming and uncomfortable for physician. This problem has a solution in connection between measuring devices and personal computer, where is a program for reading the data from devices. Then it is possible to import that data directly into the surgical protocol without the need of manual re-writing. However another problem is the compatibility of that new program with current computer application for creating surgical protocols. It appeared that appropriate solution is creation of a new complex program that is compounded from several components and then replacing the current application for creating surgical protocols. In introduction of this thesis is briefly presented history and importance of cardiac stimulation. This work continues with essential physiology of cardiac activity, cardiac rhythm failure and clinical indication for cardiac stimulation. After that follows description of cardiac stimulation itself, pacemaker and pacing lead. Then it approximates to the essence of this thesis with MNO´s current situation analysis, its equipment and methods, from which emerges thereinbefore problem. So consequently the pure functional aspect of this thesis becomes a proposal of its solution and method of its realization, which is described in conclusion together with this project requirements and presumption of its application.
