Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the problem of automatic source switching in industrial networks. We will introduce this issue and take a closer look at why continuity of power supply is a very important factor in the world.

Automatic switching of power sources is key to ensure power continuity in critical applications where it is important to maintain uninterrupted operation even in the event of a failure of the primary power source.

In the following chapters, the different ways of ensuring continuity of power supply and the issue of automatic standby power itself are described. The last sections are devoted to the construction of a switchboard that will be used in ABB s.r.o. for training employees in this field.
