Abstract
The thesis deals with the pyrolysis decomposition of the composite material in combination with carbon - epoxy and addresses the impact of the pyrolysis process on the mechanical properties of carbon fiber. The introduction describes the characteristics of composites and their potential production and use. Another part deals with the actual pyrolysis process and a description of the pyrolysis furnace. After the work the results of pyrolysis tensile tests and results which demonstrated the effect of pyrolytic degradation on mechanical properties of the recycled carbon fiber.
