Služby v obecném hospodářském zájmu: možnosti zabezpečování a poskytování v podmínkách České republiky

Abstract

The theme of the dissertation are services of general economic interest and the possibility of ensuring a provision in the Czech Republic. The aim is to define the term of services of general economic interest, then evaluate the possibility of ensuring these services in the Czech Republic and compare this system with the situation in the Federal Republic of Germany. First, the theoretical basis are clarified, is discussed the role of services of general economic interest in the internal EU market and defined the term of services of general economic interest through the application of fundamental theory of public economics (theory of public interest, theory of public goods). The core of the practical part is an evaluation of possibilities of ensuring services of general economic interest in the Czech Republic with using a multi-criteria analysis based on expert opinions. The final part of the dissertation is the comparison of systems of ensuring services of general economic interest in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany, as the selected state of the EU, in order to detect common and different features and propose recommendations for improving the providing of services of general economic interest in the Czech Republic.
