Abstract

This thesis deals with the theme of dragons, their symbolism, their incidence in myths, legends and their meaning in Religion. Thesis discusses the dragons as creatures created by human imagination while trying to find the real ones. The practical part of the thesis describes the production of The Sleeping Dragon statue. It includes designing my own model, its preparation and production. It also deals with production of gypsum-clay forms, its casting using the lost wax method and is finished by the artistic casting.
