Abstract

The thesis deals with the maintenance management of an industrial company. The aim is to analyse the current state of the maintenance of a company, namely cleaning of selected machinery and equipment with regard to the use of internal vs. external sources. The thesis is divided into six main chapters. The first part is devoted to introducing the company, its structure and main manufacturing products. The second part deals with the theoretical background, such as the notion of maintenance, maintenance history, maintenance system, organisational forms of maintenance management and evaluation of its effectiveness. The following chapters describe the current state of maintenance, the calculation of costs incurred for cleaning machinery and equipment, a proposal to improve the current maintenance system, and economic evaluation of the proposal compared with the current situation of the company.
