Abstract

Bachelor’s thesis dealt with heavy timber frame construction of garden summerhouse with dog kennel made of wooden-based materials. At first the short research of garden summerhouses, which are marketed, was compiled. Dimensions of the structure for storage of tool, garden furniture and dog’s needs for living space were determined by the requirements of the investor. Based on this information were three possible solutions designed. Two of them contain of gabled roof and the last contains of hipped roof. The selected option was designed and the critical elements, joins, bracing and anchoring were reviewed. The metal roofing Deccorey from Ruuki company was designed too. The review was executed according to current applicable standards ČSN EN.
