Abstract

The work concerns the possibility to make use of waste material which arises from the combustion of biomass with the purpose to produce porous crushed stone. As it refers to secondary raw material, the characteristics of the waste are very variable. They mainly depend on what kind of biomass is used. Porous aggregate belongs to lightweight aggregates and the norm limits its volumetric weight to 2000 kg/m³. It is characterized by large-scale use and can be applied in building industry, insulation or in our gardens. Crushed stone aggregate as filling mass extensively takes part in self-weight of the construction itself. Generally, in this case there is an objective to produce aggregate with the lowest volumetric weight and the highest compression strength at the same time. In this diploma work the raw material input, which is determined to gain porous crushed stone, has a glassy structure. The production of aggregate itself is realized in 2 stages. Firstly, the raw material input is amassed in the pelletizer, where the knowledge how to produce aggloporite was applied. The second stage distinguishes two types of firing of particular products.
