Abstract
The heat release rate is one of the most important variables in the fire protection. It can be measured by two methods: a method based on oxygen consumption principle, for examle on Cone Calorimeter by ISO 5660-1; or a method based on measuring temperature differences, in the apparatus called MassLoss Calorimeter or Simplified Cone Calorimeter by ISO 13927. However, the second method has some disadvantages. The main goal is to realize verification of MassLoss Calorimeter chimney which can be used for measuring the heat release rate by oxygen consumption principle.
