Abstract

Bachelor thesis evaluates the current state of rainwater in the industrial area - their occurrence and use - particularly in the area of ArcelorMittal Ostrava Inc. – Production Unit no. 15. Throughout the area, the rainwater in not used in any way, not even as a supply of water for fire protection purposes and that is why I decided to propose solutions for better water management. Since the premises do not contain any suitable absorption conditions, which would help to maintain groundwater levels, the work is focused more on economic than environmental aspect of the solution. The proposal consists of capturing rainwater to a storm sewer of my own design and its subsequent use in the plant. The goal is to ease the already oversized sewer networks.
