Analýza a návrh rozšíření řídícího systému válcovny profilů ve společnosti VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s.

Abstract

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to propose an extension of the control system for the use of input material in the heavy section mill of the company VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with introduction of the company VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s., along with its rich history. It mainly focuses on the production part of the heavy section mill. Furthermore, this part describes the theoretical basis of logistics and production planning in the company. The practical part analyzes the current state of the control system for the use of input material. Based on the findings of the analysis, an extension of the existing control system of the rolling mill is proposed, which can ensure more precise planning of shipping of the finished products. According to the new design, it will be possible to more accurately predict when an order will be rolled, which also affects the work in progress.
