Abstract
Bachelor thesis aim to evaluate investment decisions in a selected company. The bachelor thesis describes the options that the company could use and then evaluates the option that the company chose on the basis of real data for the period 2014-2020. In retrospect, the bachelor's thesis assesses the decision of the company and its choice to move the headquarters to the city center. An evaluation of the real investment in the purchase of the building that the company chose and its comparison with a possible alternative - renting office space - was performed. To compare these variants, the main advantages and disadvantages of each variant were described. The bachelor's thesis also compared the cost of renting office space with the cost of buying and operating your own building. The data show that the purchase of a building is more cost-effective for the company. During the monitored 7-year period, the company saved CZK 1,443,854 by purchasing its own building. Subsequently, the total return on ownership was evaluated, which deals with the evaluation of the initial investment. This income amounted to CZK 16,943,854 for the period under review. The average return on investment in a building is 17.9% per year. Thanks to these results, the option that the company has chosen can be described as more advantageous, especially due to the high rate of appreciation of the funds used to purchase the building.
