Barbara Vojvodíková, Ph.D. The scope of the bachelor thesis is the regeneration of a housing estate in the Ostrava - South district. The subject of the solution is the public space of the housing estate defined by Patrice Lumumby and Svornosti streets. The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to identify the key problems in the area and their possible solutions. The emphasis in designing changes is mainly on static traffic and the use of free space between apartment buildings. The thesis includes an assessment of the state of public space in the housing estate and identification of key problems. To assess the condition of the estate, photographic documentation was carried out. The thesis also includes a questionnaire, which serves as a basis for the design part of the static transport. The design part consists of two chapters. The first chapter focuses on the design of the static transport solution and the second chapter on the design of the use of the inner blocks. For both parts of the design, a variant solution is developed. The final part of the thesis contains an indicative economic evaluation of the selected part of the area.
