Abstract

The bachelors thesis is focused on the symbolic meaning a snake, use of snake motive in art, in world culture and in the mythology of different countries. The practical part is based on the design of a candlestick with the snake motive and its realization in brass. It describes the whole process of casting manufacturing from its design to the final arrangement of a casting.
