Abstract

The aim of thesis is to determine the profile of the crisis, thus to find potential outbreaks of the crisis in the selected business subject and to recommend appropriate approaches to their solution. In the theoretical part there are explained concepts such as crisis, its causes, types and phases. Further, there is explained the procedure of the crisis management before the onset of the crisis as well as during it; and finally there are outlines the possible crisis strategies. The practical part begins with describing company Rockwool, a.s. which was selected for the determination of the profile of the crisis, including outline of developments in the construction industry. Based on the analysis of both the external (PEST analysis, Porter's analysis) and internal (financial analysis and analysis of 7S) surroundings is created SWOT analysis that helps to detect an outbreak of the crisis. The final step is to create a crisis matrix and its interpretation. In the company dominated strengths than weaknesses and opportunities than threats. The company is not directly threatened by crises, which it would have had devastating effects. Only one outbreak of the crisis called as the possible occurrence of accidents has a high probability of occurrence and there is need to take extra care.
