Abstract

This diploma thesis addresses the issue of migration flows within the countries of the Visegrad Group. The aim of this thesis is to characterize and clarify the issue of legal and illegal migration within the Visegrad Four countries in terms of the intensity of migration flows, security risks of the countries and the stances of the population, based on the analysis of key aspects of migration. Aside from the introduction and conclusions, the thesis consists of three main chapters. The first chapter defines the basic theoretical background in the field of migration. In this context, it is possible to find the history of migration and the main migration routes. The second chapter discusses the issue of migration flows in the European integration process and the stance of the European Union. The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of migration flows within the V4 countries. An analysis of individual V4 countries will be processed in this chapter. Finally, a comparison of migration flows of the Visegrad Group countries will be made. In this diploma thesis, various types of analyses will be used within scientific methods. The SWOT analysis was used for all V4 countries, as well as quantitative methods for predicting the future development of illegal migration with applications of a number of functions, and also a method of comparison was used to compare the identified aspects of migration of the studied countries.
