Abstract
The traditional method of reinforcement using steel banding is often used for strengthening of masonry columns and pillars. In recent years, there are also new advanced materials and innovative technology. The thesis compares the new innovative materials and technology that occur in the construction market or are in an advanced stage of research, and a selected traditional method of strengthening masonry structures (amplification method using steel banding) in terms of:
1. Static.
2. Technology.
3. Economic.
4. Time of the realization.
