Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation of the joint stock company KOH-I-NOOR HARDTMUTH. The evaluation is made by the selected method of the financial analysis for the years 2006–2010. The work is divided into three parts. The theoretical part primarily focuses on the object and aim of the financial analysis including description of the methods of financial analysis. The following part focuses on the basic characteristics of the company. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the application of methods of financial analysis, such as horizontal and vertical analysis of balance sheet and profit and loss statement, financial ratios analysis, analysis of deviations and risk analysis. The results of financial analysis are summarized at the end of the thesis.
