Abstract
This study deals with problematics of diagnostics of burn injuries by laser dopplerometry. It is a diagnostic method based on the Doppler shift of laser radiation reflected from moving blood elements, used to display blood perfusion and to create quantitative maps. This examination is crucial to determine the extent of tissue damage and to determine subsequent treatment. The success of treatment is correlated both with perfusion values and with their development over time in the early period after trauma. Our goal is to optimize this method by considering the topography of the human body and to ensure a certain standardization that would help increase the accuracy and success of the treatment. The theoretical part is conceived as an introduction to the study of medical technology focused on the diagnosis of thermal tissue damage for students of biomedical engineering. The practical part of the thesis deals with the implementation of series of experiments leading to the assessment of the influence of topography factor on the accuracy, reproducibility and comparability of blood perfusion scans in clinical practice and creating a simple programming interface with the topographic map of the human body.
