Abstract

The thesis is focused on measuring satisfaction of the VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. The thesis consists of several parts. The first chapter contains an introduction. The second chapter outlines the theoretical base of satisfaction measurement. Here I describe the purchasing decision making process related to school choice and customer satisfaction. The third chapter describes the characteristic of academic education in the Czech Republic and characterisation of VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. The fourth chapter focuses on research methodology. Research was carried out using by written inquiries on a sample of 200 respondents of Faculty of Economics, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. Research methodology consists of two phases, preparatory and implementation. The fifth chapter contains the analysis of outcomes of research. Results are described both verbally and graphically. The analysis focuses on individual satisfaction, specifically satisfaction with the study, teachers and the school equipment. In the sixth chapter was researched recommendations designed to increase customer satisfaction. At the close of the thesis are summarised the research results.
