The bachelor thesis deals with the suitability of the Abel method for determining the flash point of mixtures of methanol and water.
In the first part of the thesis are given basic fire technical characteristics, especially the flash point and their importance for safe use. In addition, this section contains the basic properties of the substances used in the determination of the flash point. The following is a description of two methods whose results are compared in this work.
The second part of the thesis contains determination of flash point according to ČSN EN ISO 13736 and verification of this method on the basis of calculation of precision and comparison with another method of determination.
