Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the criminal liability of legal persons and its consequences. The aim is to analyse the legal and economic consequences that are related to criminal liability, i.e. to the criminal activity of legal persons. From the legal point of view, these consequences are mainly the sanctions imposed for committing criminal activities, which are also reflected in the economic aspect. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the definition of basic concepts, as well as the content of the law on criminal liability of legal persons and proceedings against them. Furthermore, the individual legal and economic consequences of criminal liability are discussed. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of selected statistics in the field of criminal liability of legal persons and also on the analysis of a practical case dealing also with this issue. The practical case serves to better illustrate the application of criminal liability of legal persons in practice, in this case specifically by imposing the penalty of prohibition of activity, which is one of the legal consequences of criminal liability. In the last part, the prevention of criminal liability of legal persons through compliance programs used by legal persons was evaluated.
