Abstract

The theme of this bachelor thesis is reconstruction of a house, bulit in 1923, located in a former mine Jan Maria in Ostrava, in the district of Silesian Ostrava. Originally this building was used to house miners from the local mine. The entire building underwent minor renovations in 1995, when the facade treatment except partially changed and dispozition. Under the new reconstruction is an effort to remold the property of the purposes of Children and youth. Part of the renovation of this building will be, inter alia, replacement of windows and doors, thermal insultation of facade and roof structures, reconstruction of floor, replacement of roof covering and gutter system, creating paved areas for pedestrians and demolition of irrelevant small outbuildings. The whole renovation of this house is done to the preservation of characteristics features of a house and therefore was conducted sensitively and with respect to the surrounding buildings. The newly proposed internal layout and surrounding areas complies requirement and needs of the Children and youth.
