Abstract

This thesis deals with singular value decomposition of the matrices and potentiality of implementation SVD with usage of modern graphic processors from nVidia company and CUDA environment. The goal is to tryout benefits of this new environment in light of speedup this complex computation. The benefits of knowledge SVD for image retrieval are explained. Also contains several tests with real collection of eye irises.
