Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the application of lean production and its sub-tools SMED and MES to the production process. The study of all sub-operations of mold exchange is performed, analyzed and the suggestions for improvement are made. The analysis of the time of mold changes is presented on the production equipment before and after the implementation of the proposed changes. The output data are used from the company's internal systems. The economic evaluation is performed and the savings resulting from innovation are processed. The other follow-up activities are proposed which is led to an increase in the company's production capacity and profitability.
