Abstract
Thesis in question was aimed at identifying and quantifying sources of pollutants alkali (Na2O and K2O in particular) in the blast furnace process in the metallurgical plant in the European Union for the period 2006 - 2010. It described the cycle of bases and their conversion into the blast furnace, due to the presence of alkali in the production of sinter process parameters (speed sintering, sinter strength, thermoplastic properties of the agglomerate) and the production of pig iron (reactivity and strength of blast furnace coke, ores softening temperature, the influence of the furnace lining furnace, etc.). It was evaluated, the quantities of alkaline compounds in the blast process for the reporting period. Using the actual material balances and chemical analysis of raw materials and products specific blast furnace in the period.
