Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on reorganization activities of the company OKD, a. s., which primarily deal with the optimization of key company activities, cost reduction and economic activity improvement leading to a growth in company profit. The main goal of the thesis is an analysis of the consolidation project of two mines merging into one organizational unit – the coal mine Důl Karviná and the implementation of the consolidation project including the evaluation of both positive and negative aspects of the whole process.
